【导师同行】“烹”然心动,美好“食”辰--记远景学院导师组联合开展美食节活动

菩提树下烹美食,舌尖味蕾游世界。为了拓展学生的国际视野,促进同学们对“一带一路”沿线国家的多元文化认识,推动通识教育第二课堂与第一课堂深度融合,5月31日中午,李梦瑶、朱雪珂、黄煌老师带领各自导师组成员,在远景书院菩提树下举办了“全球吃喝,有你有我”的美食节活动;本次活动还特别邀请了外教Clive和Peter作为嘉宾,同大家一起制作和品尝美食、畅聊饮食文化。

“民以食为天”,各个国家的美食浓缩了当地的饮食习俗和特色文化,各导师组的同学们在活动前一周,根据各自的兴趣便选定了组要分享的特色美食,并整理好需要的食材清单和美食的英文介绍。本次美食节活动汇集了李梦瑶导师组的意大利面、韩国火鸡面,朱雪珂导师组的越南春卷,以及黄煌导师组的日本寿司。

世界上有不同口味的食物,也有不同的食材和香料;而“一带一路”沿线国家意大利是出名的美食之乡,尝试来自意大利的食物是一件很棒的事。李梦瑶导师组同学在制作的过程中,用英语介绍了意大利面:Pasta refers not only to the spaghetti itself, but also to all the Italian pasta dishes,which is a traditional Italian staple food. There are many origins of pasta. On the one hand, it originated in Ancient Rome, and on the other hand, it was spread from China to the entire Europe by Marco Polo. As the raw material of pasta, Duran wheat has the characteristics of high density, high protein, high gluten, etc, and is the hardest wheat variety. Its color is bright yellow, it won't spoil after being cooked for a long time, and it has a good taste. The variety of pasta is very rich, the difference between different pasta is only the shape.

作为对比,其他导师组的同学们向Peter介绍了深受他们喜爱的火鸡面:“辣”是它的突出特色:When it comes to Fire noodles, I believe that the younger generation is familiar with it. Many years ago, when the Internet emerged, it gave birth to a large number of popular Internet celebrity foods, among which Fire noodles was one of the most famous, captivating many people with their spicy taste. The shape of the dough cake is thicker than that of instant noodles, and because of this reason, the taste is very unique.

同学们还给Peter安利由越南春卷包裹的火鸡面。In recent years, many delicious foods related to Fire noodles have emerged. For example, spring rolls with Fire noodles, the mellow aroma of the noodles is matched with the spicy taste. Youngsters have created a new trend by combining different foods. Peter更是在介绍的过程中直接挑战裹有火鸡面的越南春卷,被辣的满头大汗最后直呼“hot and spicy !”

Clive则钟情于日本寿司,在寿司制作摊位上尝试去切寿司,但是米饭太黏,尝试失败;同学们也趁机用英语介绍了寿司Sushi:a type of food that mixed salted fish and rice,which was originated in Southeast Asia, and developed rapidly in Japan, forming various varieties and schools. Until modern times, sushi has almost become the most well-known Japanese cuisine.

当一道道色香味俱全的国际特色美食摆满了餐桌后,大家都跃跃欲试,细细品尝:寿司清新爽口,火鸡面鲜香麻辣,越南春卷软糯Q弹,意大利面爽滑筋道。在品尝美味的同时,同学们都尝试用英语向Clive和Peter介绍相应的菜品,积极锻炼自己的英语听说交流能力;在亲自动手实践制作美食的过程中,同学们加深了在《博雅英语》课程中对“一带一路”沿线国家的特色美食的了解,在实践中get了美食的制作技能,增强了对生活的热爱。
